Wine Cap (Stropharia rugoso-annulata) is a delicious fall-harvested gilled mushroom that is great for sautéing. Each 5lb block can inoculate ~50 sqft of hardwood chips spread 6” deep. Plant in a partially shaded area to prevent spawn from dying out. Water as necessary. Use only hardwood chips (Alder, maple, etc.) for best results.
